PYRGOS
The village is built near Amfillisus River. According to tradition, a shepherd's family, coming from Peloponnesus, found the location very pleasant and decided to settle in the area. The people are mostly farmers producing olive-oil, wine and honey. The visitor can find many stores selling honey and fragrant herbs. An ancient curved rock found in the area led to the assumption that there used to be a "Temple of Ion" to the east of the village.
