Samos houses

IMG_0055

The architecture of Samos resemble to the architecture of the other North-Eastern Aegean Islands. Samos does not have a specific traditional architecture, mostly because of the heterogeneous descent of the population of the island. It is a blend of neoclassical mansions, Venetian buildings, whitewashed houses and Byzantine churches. Graphic narrow streets are winding around all those types of buildings, adding a warm and cozy touch to the whole scenery.

  1. J'aime bien ces maisons avec des volets et les couleurs sont éclatantes, bravo !

  2. My mental image of Greece always includes very white, white houses and shades of blue. Your photo does not disappoint; I love it and your comments about the architecture. Thanks!
